Navbharat's Mahesh Sarangi-SS Ahmed win doubles crown
Lokmat's Ashish Jain clinched the men's singles title while Minal Jain, also of Lokmat, won the women's single crown in the Suyash Herbal Badminton Tournament for mediapersons on Sunday
The tournament was organised by Sports Journalists Association of Nagpur in tandem with Nagpur District Badminton Association and Physical Education and Sports Department of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University at Subhedar Hall
In the men's final Ashish Jain beat Lokmat's Rajesh Sharma 21-14, 21-11.
The doubles title went to the pair of Navbharat Mahesh Sarangi and SS Ahmed. The duo defeated Lokmat's Ashish Jain and Raviraj Ambadwar 21-14, 21-15.
Minal Jain of Lokmat defeated Navbharat's Deepika Gedekar 21-10, 21-18.
Vikas Ahuja, Director, Suyash Herbal was the chief guest of prize distribution function.
Madhavi Mardikar, Ciordinator, PGTD, RTMNU, former SJAN President Dr Ram Thakur, SJAN Secretary Paritosh Pramanik, Treasurer Nilesh Deshpande were also present.
Naresh Shelke conducted the programme and also proposed a vote of thanks.
