Bagde and Pramanik elected on SJFI body


SPORTS Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN) Secretary Kishor Bagde and Joint Secretary Paritosh Pramanik have been elected as Executive Members of the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) for the term of 2012-14. The elections for the new executive were held at Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
G Viswanath of Mumbai, was elected as the new President while Subodh Barua of Assam was voted as the new Secretary.
Total 14 SJFI units took part in the annual general meeting and elections. SJAN candidates Bagde and Pramanik got 13 and 12 votes, respectively, to win the Executive Members posts.
Naresh Shelke, President, SJAN, represented the association in the annual general meeting.

President: G. Viswanath (Mumbai). Vice-Presidents: Sarju Chakravarti (Tripura), Vikas Pande (Indore), A Vinod (Kerala), DV Garud (Bangalore). Secretary: Subodh Mallah Barua (Assam). Treasurer: Purnendu Chakravarti (Kolkata). Joint Secretary: Joseph Anthony (Hyderabad). Executive Members: Kishor Bagde (Nagpur), Paritosh Pramanik (Nagpur), R Kaushik (Bangalore), Amlendra Chakraborti (Kolkata), Nikhilesh Pathak (Gujarat), Biswajit Sharma (Tripura), Saurav Kumar Bora (Assam).
