SJAN celebrates World Sports Journalists’ day




Sports goods distributed to deaf and dumb students

SPORTS Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN) celebrated International Sports Journalists’ Day by distributing sports goods to the students of Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar on Saturday.
While fulfilling its social responsibility SJAN distributed cricket bats, tennis balls, badminton racquets, footballs, volleyballs, skipping ropes, tennikoit rings etc to the students.
Principal of the school Chandrashekhar Nare, SJAN president Naresh Shelke, secretary Kishor Bagde, vice-president Rahul Dixit and treasurer Anupam Soni shared the dais.
Naresh Shelke and Chandrashekhar Nare guided the students while Sarala Waghmare made introductory remarks. Kapil Wase performed the role of interpreter. Dr Ram Thakur conducted the proceedings and Anupam Soni proposed a vote of thanks.
Students, teachers and sports reporters attended the programme in large numbers. The programme was organised under the guidance of president of the school Advocate Anand Gode, secretary Dilip Gode and treasurer Aglawe.
