THE 17th Allahabad Bank-SJAN Inter-Press Twenty-20 Invitational Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN) will begin on December 27.
According to a press release issued by SJAN secretary Kishor Bagde this year SJAN has joined hands with Allahabad Bank as the main sponsor. The bank is also celebrating its golden jubilee this year. Motion Tutorials is the co-sponsor of the tournament.
Matches will be played at Dr Ambedkar College ground and Vasant Nagar ground simultaneously. A souvenir ‘CricMedia’ and schedule of the tournament will be released soon.
Attractive cash prizes will be given to the winners and runners-up teams. Apart from these prizes, individual prizes for man-of-the-match, man-of-the-series, best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, best wicket-keeper, centurions, hat-trick and five-wicket haul will also be given.
Last year Lokmat emerged champion defeating Sakal. White balls sponsored by Amar Sports will be used in the tournament.
