Dixit stars in The Hitavada's win

Riding on opening batsman Nikhil Dixit's 55-run unbeaten knock, The Hitavada stunned last year's runners-up Sakal by four wickets in 17th Allahabad Bank-SJAN  Inter-Press Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur, on Sunday.
At Ambedkar College ground, batting first Sakal scored 122 for six in 20 overs. Pankaj Borkar (37), Kishor Jamkar (34) and Om Dhakulkar (31) were the main scorers.
In reply,  The Hitavada achieved the target losing six wickets. Nikhil Dixit held the fort till the end and scored unbeaten 55. Valuable contributions also came from Vinay Pandey (13) and Pravin Lokhande (12).
At Vasant Nagar, Ravi Daf displayed all-round performance as Punyanagari drubbed Lokshahi Varta by eight wickets. Lokshahi Varta scored 133 for five in 20 overs. Ashish Dubey top scored with 33. For Punyanagari, Vaibhav Sonawane and Ravi Daf got two wickets each. In reply, Punyanagari achieved the target losing just two wickets. Left-handed Pankaj Pandey slammed unbeaten 57 while Daf missed half ton by just one run.

Punyanagari: 134 for two in 12.2 overs (Pankaj Pande 57 not out, Ravi Daf 49, Vaibhav Sonawane 18, Abhishek Kulkarni 1 for 19)
Result: Punyanagari won by eight wickets
