Rains play spoilsport

Matches rescheduled

Rains played spoilsport in ongoing 17th Allahabad Bank-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) on Friday.
Wet outfield and drizzle in the morning session, forced the organisers to reschedule Friday and Saturday matches. After inspecting ground conditions, the umpires at both the venues i.e. Ambedkar College and Vasant Nagar ground consulted the SJAN authorities and rescheduled  the matches.
Now as per the new schedule on January 7 Sakal will play Punyanagari at Ambedkar College ground at 9.30 a.m. On the same day Lokmat will take on Loksatta at Vasant Nagar ground at 9.30 a.m.
On January 8 two matches will be played at Vasant Nagar ground. Deshonnati will lock horns with Loksatta at 9.30 a.m. followed by second tie between Tarun Bharat and The Hitavada at 1.30 p.m.
On January 9, Sakal will play Lokshahi Varta at Vasant Nagar at 9.30 a.m. There will be no change in the schedule of other matches, informs SJAN secretary and convener of the tournament Kishor Bagde.
