20th OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Twenty20 Cricket (Day-7)

Lokmat , Hitavada record huge victories


Continuing their winning streak, Lokmat thrashed Sakal by six wickets to record their third victory in the ongoing 20th OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament at Ambedkar College ground on Saturday.
In another tie, The Hitavada ended their league campaign on winning note defeating Punyanagari by eight wickets. The tournament has been organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) in association with OCW and SBI.
Batting first Sakal were restricted to 117 for 7 in 20 overs. Shubham Kathawate (38) and  Sarang Chavan (26) were the main scorer. For Lokmat,  Sachin Turak (2 for 11) was the most successful bowler. In reply despite veteran Kishor Jamkar's hat-trick Lokmat achieved the target in 11 overs losing just four wickets. Opening batsman Sarang Walwatkar scored fabulous unbeaten 32-ball 53 hitting seven boundaries. Sachin Khadke contributed 38.
In another match, batting first Punyanagari were all out for 90 in 20 overs. Shridhar Hatgade top scored with 30. In reply, The Hitavada achieved the small target in just 7.4 overs losing two wickets. Kamlesh Waghire (33) and Anupam Timothy (23) ensured the victory.
Meanwhile Amol Khante of CAC All-rounder has sponsored the individual prizes whereas Chandrashekhar Karkar has sponsored man-of-the-series prize.

Result: Lokmat won by six wickets

Punyanagari: 90 all out in 20 overs (Shridhar Hatgade 30, Pankaj Pande 29, Anupam Timothy, Ravi Daf and Kshitij Udar two wickets each)
The Hitavada: 91 for 2 in 7.4 ovvers (Kamlesh Waghire 33, Anupam Timothy 23, Deepak Mane 2 for 21)
Result: The Hitavada won by eight wickets
