Budholiya leads Lokmat to victory

Ashish Budholiya's 14-ball 30 at crucial stage helped defending champion Lokmat to overcome Tarun Bharat by three wickets in 20th OCW-SJAN  Inter-Press Cricket Tournament at Vasant Nagar ground on Monday.
With this victory, Lokmat topped pool 'A' by winning all the league matches followed by The Hitavada.  Both the teams have qualified for semis from this group.
Batting first Tarun Bharat scored 154 for 7 in 20 overs. Dinesh Borkar top scored with (42, 38b, 1x6, 3x4) and he was ably supported by Atul Shivankar who scored (40, 39b, 1x6, 2x4). For Lokmat, Sharad Mishra claimed two wickets for 21 runs.
In reply, after initial hiccups Lokmat achieved the target sparing three wickets in 17.1 overs. Pravin Lokhande hammered 42 in 27 balls hitting one six and five boundaries. Sharad Mishra (33, 27b, 6x4) too batted well. But when it required most, Budholiya played sensibly and scored useful 30 with the help of four boundaries and one six to ensure the victory. For Tarun Bharat Nitin Baitule (3 for 25) was the main wicket taker.
At Ambedkar College ground, Sakal scored 131 all out in 18.5 overs. Sarang Chavan (31, 27b, 4x4, 1x6) was the highest scorer.
For Punyanagari, Pankaj Pande snared four wickets for 18 runs.  In reply, Punyanagari achieved the target in 15.1 overs losing six wickets. Thanks to Sunil Khorgade who scored 28 hitting four boundaries. Shrikant Kotgule and Pankaj Pande scored 17 runs each.
Meanwhile 'Cric Media' will be released on Tuesday at Ambedkar College ground at 10 a.m.

Punyanagari: 132 for 6 in 15.1 overs (Sunil Khorgade 28, Shrikant Kotgule and Pankaj Pande 17 each, Pritesh uchkalkwar 2 for 21)
Result: Punyanagari won by four wickets
