The third edition of CricMedia, the annual souvenir brought out to mark the Inter-Press Invitational Twenty20 Cricket Tournament by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) was released at the association's office at Vivekanand Nagar Primary School premises, behind Sai Mandir on Sunday.
CEO of Satvik Group Amol Dhake, NMC Standing Committee chairman Sandeep Joshi, and Vidarbha Ranji team coach Sulakshan Kulkarni released the souvenir. SJAN president Dr Ram Thakur shared the dais. The souvenir include a review of last edition of inter-press cricket tournaments and other activities of SJAN. Speaking on 7the occasion Mr Dhake urged all participating teams to keep the sporting spirit. Mr Kulkarni and Mr Joshi appreciated the work of SJAN. Coloured clothings as well as the tournament schedule were also distributed to the captains of participating teams on the occasion. SJAN vice-president Naresh Shelke conducted the proceedings while joint secretary Kishor Bagde proposed a vote of thanks.
Earlier, a two-minute silence was observed to condole the death of senior sports journalist of Times of India, Mumbai Pradeep Vijaykar who passed away on Saturday in Mumbai.
Team members of The Hitavada, Punyanagari, Dainik Bhaskar, Indian Express-Loksatta, Sakal, Lokmat, Tarun Bharat and new entrant Lokshahi Varta were also present on the occasion. The tournament begins Jauary 4 at Dr Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi ground and Dhanwate National College's Vasant Nagar ground.
