Khodke, Khadke shine in Lokmat's win




Skipper Amit Khodke and middle order batsman Sachin Khadke once again made century run partnership to propel Lokmat into 30 run victory over Punyanagari in 13th OCHRI Cup Inter-Press Invitational Cricket Tournament at Ambedkar College ground, here on Friday.The tournament is being organised by Sports Journalists’ Association of Nagpur and sponsored by Orange City Hospital and Research Institute (OCHRI). Satvik Group is the co-sponsor of the tournament. Batting first after winning the toss Lokmat piled up a huge total of 197 for 4 in 20 overs. Thanks to Amit Khodke and Sachin Khadse who made 139 run partnership for third wicket. Khodke unfortunately missed the centutury by just seven runs. His 54-ball 93 run knock was studded with 12 boundaries. Khadke also batted well and smashed 58 in 48 deliveries hitting four boundaries. Amit Roshankhede remained unbeaten on 18.For Punyanagari, Pankaj Pande (2 for 32) and Manoj Zariya (2 for 38) were the main wicket takers. In reply, Punyanagari missed the target by 30 runs. They made 167 for five in 20 overs. Ravi Daff fought the lonely battle scoring 82 in 46 balls with the help for ten boundaries two sixes. Lokmat’s fielding was not upto the mark today as they dropped as many as six catches of Duff. Otherwise the winning margin would have different. For Lokmat Sachin Khadke (2 for 21) was the most successful bowler. Nitin Patariya and Amit Khodke got one wicket each. Earlier the players were introduced to former Ranji cricketer Manohar Agasti and president of Yugantar Education Society Rajkumar Tirpude.
