Riding
on Pravin Lokhande's sparkling unbeaten 90-run knock, Lokmat drubbed
Dainik Bhaskar by 90 runs to record their second victory in OCW-SJAN
Inter-Press Invitational Cricket Tournament at Vasant Nagar ground on
Saturday.
Batting first Lokmat amassed 176 for four in 20
overs. Lokhande smashed 63-ball 90 with the help of 14 boundaries.
Skipper Amit Khodke (28) and Nitin Patariya (25) gave him good company.
In
reply, Dainik Bhaskar were restricted to 86 for nine. Avinash Bhagat
remained unbeaten on 28 while Sujan Masid contributed 15. For Lokmat
Sharad Mishra (3 for 14) was the most successful bowler.
In other tie The Times of India defeated Tarun Bharat by five wickets.
Earlier the players were introduced to NIT chief engineer SS Gujjelwar and former Vidarbha Ranji trophy player Hemant Wasu .
Today's match: The Hitavada vs Loksatta-IE at Vasant Nagat at 9.30 a.m.
