Pandey guides Hitavada to comprehensive victory

Nagpur, Jan. 24: Man-of-the-match Vinay Pandey slammed unbeaten 73 runs and also claimed two wickets as The Hitavada thrashed Loksatta-IE by huge margin of 102 runs in OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) at Vasant Nagar ground on Sunday. 
Batting first,  The Hitavada piled up 183 for three in 20 overs. Pandey played a strokeful knock of 73 hitting nine boundaries and two sixes. Young Deval Kakde slammed unbeaten 41 in just 14 balls. His knock was studded with six boundaries and two sixes. In process he amassed 28 runs in one over.
In reply, Loksatta-IE were all out for 81. Only skipper Datir (21) and Ram Bhakre (13) showed some resistance.For The Hitavada, Anupam Timothy (4 for 6) was the most successful bowler. 
Monday's fixtures: TOI-MT vs Sakal at Vasant Nagar ground. Lokmat Vs Loksatta at Ambedkar College ground. Both matches will start at 8.30 a.m.

The Hitavada: 183 for 3 in 20 overs (Vinay Pandey 73*, Deval Kakde 41*, Susheem Koley 28, Rajeshwar Thakre, Aniruddha Pande and Vijay Sant one wicket each). 
Loksatta-IE: 81 all out in 20 overs (Harshwardhan Datir 21, Ram Bhakre 13, Anupam Timothy 4 for 6, Susheem Koley and Vinay Pandey two each).
