Nagpur: Deshonnati finally managed a win in their last league match of the OCW-SJAN inter-press T20 cricket tournament. Deshonnati registered an easy six-wicket win over Loksatta at Vasant Nagar ground on Wednesday.
Batting first, Loksatta were bundled out for 102 in 17.3 overs. Chandrashekhar Kuthe topscored for them with 25. Atul Kharad picked up three wickets while Vivek Bithale and Satish Kanchankar took two wickets each for Deshonnati.
Deshonnati reached the target in 14.4 overs losing four wickets with man of the match Kanchankar scoring 42. Rajeshwar Thakre took three wickets for Loksatta.
In another match, Hitavada defeated Dainik Bhaskar by 94 runs to finish on top of Group ‘B’. Vinay Pande once again put up commendable allround performance to take Hitavada to win. Batting first they scored 209 for 3 in 20 overs thanks to half centuries from Kamlesh Waghire and Pande. In reply Dainik Bhaskar managed just 115 all out in 18.1 overs with Pande snapping four wickets. tnn
