Punyanagari
ousted Dainik Bhaskar by eight wickets in the play off tie of OCW-SJAN
Inter-Press Invitational Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament organised by
Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) at Vasant Nagar ground
on Saturday.
Batting first Dainik Bhaskar were bowled out for
a paltry 61 in 10.5 overs. Only Ritesh Gagotri (21) and Sujan Masid
(12*) showed some resistance. For Punyanagari, Sunil Khorgade (4 for 9)
was the wrecker-in-chief and he was ably supported by Ravi Daf (2 for
5). In reply, Punyanagari achieved the target losing just two wickets in
7.2 overs. Pankaj Pande (26 *) and Daf (26) ensured the big victory.
Khorgade
was declred man-of-the-match. Earlier players were introduced to
Bankers' Sports Council (BSC) president Ramesh Thakur.
On Monday, The Times of India will play Lokshahi Varta at Ambedkar College ground at 9.30 a.m.
