Lokshahi stun Punyanagari


Lokshahi Varta shocked last year semi-finalist Punyanagari by 62 runs in the last league match of OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) at Vasant Nagar ground on Thursday. 
At the end of league stage, six teams that will vie in play offs have been identified. The Hitavada emerged topper with 16 points winning all their league matches.  Lokmat, The Times of India and Lokshahi Varta earned 12 points each. However on the basis of run quotient Lokmat (39) finished second  followed by TOI (28.57 ) and Lokshahi Varta (15.72 ) for third and fourth  place respectively. Punyanagari and Dainik Bhaskar secured eight points each. On the basis of run quotient Punyanagari (21.62)  achieved fifth place followed by Dainik Bhaskar (19.75). 
Sakal, Tarun Bharat and Deshonnati who won just one match made exit from the tournament whereas Loksatta-IE even failed to open their account. 
No match will be played on Friday. On Saturday, Punyanagari will take on Dainik Bhaskar at Vasant Nagar ground at 9.30 a.m.
