batsman Suhas Nayse played an unbeaten knock of (73, 53b, 8x4) as
defending champion The Times of India drubbed Lokshahi Varta by 58 runs
in a play off tie of OCW- SJAN Inter-Press Invitational Twenty-20
Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of
Nagpur at Ambedkar College ground on Monday.
Batting
first TOI piled up 171 for 8 in 20 overs. Their batting mainly
revolved around man-of-the-match Nayse. Rupesh Bhaik (28) and Mandar
Moroney (14) gave him good company.
For Lokshahi Varta Anup
Motghare claimed three wickets for 25 runs. In reply, Lokshahi Varta
lost their wickets at regular interval and were bowled out for 113.
Abhay Dube (30) and left-handed Abhishek Kulkarni (20) were the main
scorers. For TOI, Faizul Qumar and Umesh Tekade shared six wickets
between them.
On Tuesday, Lokmat will take on The Hitavada at the same venue at 9.30 a.m. The winner will qualify for the final whereas loser will get one more chance.
