19th OCW-SJAN Inter Press Cricket, Day-6

Lokmat drub Tarun Bharat by 61 runs to top group 'B'

Last year's runners-up Lokmat drubbed Tarun Bharat by 61 runs to emerge group 'B' topper in OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament at Vasant Nagar ground on Saturday.
The tournament has been organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) in association with OCW and State Bank of India (SBI).
Batting first Lokmat piled up 199 for 7 in 20 overs. In form batsman Pravin Lokhande hammered 58 in just 36 balls with the help of eight boundaries. Skipper Amit Kodke played a sensible knock of 54 in 48 balls hitting seven boundaries. Opening dashing batsman Nitin Patariya knocked off 35 smashing five boundaries and one six. For Tarun Bharat, Nitin Baitule claimed two wickets for 34 runs.
In reply, Tarun Bharat were restricted to 138 for eight in 20 overs. Ankush Hiwrale (49) tried his best but in vain. Lakhan Jaiswal contributed 16.
For Lokmat, Patariya claimed three wickets for 12 runs while Pramod Ingole got two for 24.

Tarun Bharat: 138 for 8 in 20 overs (Ankush Hiwrale 49, Lakhan Jaiswal 16, Nitin Patariya 3 for 12, Pramod Ingole 2 for 24).
Result: Lokmat won by 61 runs
