Lokmat, TOI summit clash today
Last
year's runner-up Lokmat will take on former champion The Times of India
TOI) in the title clash of 19th OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket
Tournament organised by Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur
(SJAN) in association with OCW and SBI.
The match will begin at 9.30 a.m.
Lokmat would like to avenge their defeat against TOI in the final of
17th edition of the tournament. On the other hand, TOI would battle to
regain the coveted trophy.
Lokmat entered the final thrashing
Lokshahi Varta by seven wickets whereas TOI stunned defending champions
The Hitavada by 103 runs.
The prize distribution function
will be organised immediately after final. CEO of OCW Sanjay Roy will be
the chief guest on the occasion. Regional manager of SBI Vinayak
Kulkarni, corporator and former NMC Standing Commitee chairman Sandeep
Joshi, newly elected president of Maharashtra Union of Working
Journalists (MUWJ) Pradip Maitra, NUWJ president Bramha Shankar
Tripathi, Sanjay Chinchole of Drushti Communication will also grace the
occasion.
Meanwhile Shiv Chhatrapati awardee Shatrughna Gokhle has declared cash award of Rs 5,000 for best player of the tournament.
